The objective of initial site assessments will be to review past and present land use practices,
operations and conditions, and nearby off-site land uses. Our investigations will be based on
the specific conditions at the areas of concern, on the scope of services and in accordance
with ASTM E-1527-00 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments. The goal of the
process established by the ASTM Standard is to identify recognized environmental conditions.
Recognized environmental conditions are defined in the ASTM Standard as the presence or the
likely presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products on a property under
conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release, or a material threat of a
release of any hazardous substances or petroleum products onto or effecting the property.
